Alexandria's Story:

The days spent at Heart Connection Camp are the best of their trying times. “Mommy, do I have to go home now?” That is a wonderful thing to hear out of a 6 year old who has suffered so much more than any human should have to. I personally thank you for allowing the opportunity and caring for the most precious thing in the world – our children, my child! Shortly before she died in July 2000, she sobbed to me, “Mommy, I wanted to go to camp every year until I was too old. Then I wanted to be a counselor!” I simply responded, “Sweetheart, don’t you think God needs help in Heaven with camp?” She immediately stopped crying and said, “Yes, I bet He does.” So I pray for Heart Connection to look after our angels while on Earth, and Alex and God will look out for them in Heaven. I give you this with all the love of a mother who believes deeply in this experience, knowing it was one of the best of my 7 year old’s life. That is something to be very proud of as an organization. And I think you need to know of how proud I am to tell anyone who will listen the glory of Heart Connection!! Thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of it. I will always have special memories of my daughter’s beautiful smile, sparkle in her eyes, excitement in her voice as she recounts her week at camp!

With much love and admiration, Laura G, Mother of Alexandria
